Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Yayasan WIBA Prima is embarking on an exciting new venture with the #SolarforAutism initiative. This innovative #dakwahkreatif collaboration as supported by Green Xperts aims to support the autism community by installing solar panels, starting with the Perlis Special Teens Centrce (PeSTeC). This pioneering project is set to reduce electricity costs for PeSTeC by RM17,400 annually, allowing these funds to be redirected towards other essential services and activities.
The #SolarforAutism initiative was officially launched on April 20, 2024, during the festive Hari Raya Meriah: 20th Anniversary of Yayasan WIBA Prima at Royale Chulan Damansara. The event also highlighted the exceptional talents of PeSTeC students, who delivered a heartfelt recitation of Surah Al-Balad and skillfully arranged its verses. These moving performances deeply resonated with the audience, underscoring the potential and capabilities of individuals with autism.
Yayasan WIBA Prima aims to raise RM200,000 to fund the solar panel installation at PeSTeC and, subsequently, other autism centers. This initiative not only seeks to reduce operational costs but also aims to raise awareness about autism and promote sustainable energy solutions. By integrating green energy into autism support services, Yayasan WIBA Prima hope to inspire a broader conversation about sustainability and inclusivity.
