In a testament to their commitment to give back to the community, XPERTS in collaboration with their corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm, Yayasan WIBA Prima , and subsidiaries NST Data , Prima Cell , Promajadi and Modkha Marine have been actively engaged in distributing donations through foodbank and Ihya' Ramadan programs at mosques to asnaf communities across Selangor, particularly in the Sepang district, via the #dakwahkreatif platform.
The Ihya' Ramadan program in 2024 marked a significant milestone with a total donation of RM85,720, showcasing a notable increase compared to the previous year. This initiative has directly benefited 508 individuals and 21 organizations, alongside the successful establishment of 5 foodbanks across Selangor and Perak.
Faiz Mokhtar, CEO of XPERTS.MY , emphasized the program's focus on fostering strong bonds between mosque institutions and local communities. He highlighted the strategic placement of foodbanks within mosques, aiming to invigorate donation activities while nurturing positive relationships between the mosque and its surrounding community.
During the distribution of the Yayasan WIBA Prima’s Ihya' Ramadan pack at the Masjid Cyber 10, Tuan Khairi Azali Ibrahim, the Sepang District Officer of Majlis Perbandaran Sepang graced his presence to extend this vital assistance to the asnaf in need, providing them with essential daily necessities worth RM100 each pack.
Mohd Rahmat Anuar, General Manager of Promajadi, presented a contribution of RM 5,000 to Yayasan WIBA Prima which was their first contribution to the Ihya' Ramadan program for the year 2024. Meanwhile, Abas Mustafa, General Manager of NST Data & Prima Cell , took the opportunity to present a symbolic check donation worth RM2,000 to the management of Masjid Raja Haji Fi Sabilillah, affirming our commitment to supporting local communities.
On 14 March 2024, XPERTS hosted #XPERTSIftar2024 event at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur. We hosted 34 asnaf children from PPR Lembah Subang 2 and their guardians; this gathering truly embodied the spirit of Ramadan. Led by Datuk Dr. Kamilia Ibrahim (XPERTS Legal Advisor), Faiz Mokhtar (XPERTS CEO), and Prof. Dato' Dr. Ab Halim Tamuri (VIP Guest - ADUN Paya Jaras), Pek Ihya' Ramadan packages were distributed to the children, creating unforgettable moments of joy and generosity.
In a parallel effort, Farhan Yusof, General Manager of Modkha Marine joined hands with Dato’ Abdullah Hassan of Maju Tanah Liat to launch Yayasan WIBA Prima’s foodbank program at Masjid Nurul Hidayah in Perak, underscoring our dedication to serving communities in need as part of our social responsibility endeavours throughout the country. Besides Masjid Nurul Hidayah, in conjunction with this year’s Yayasan WIBA Prima’s Ihya’ Ramadan Program, XPERTS.MY also launched foodbanks at Masjid Jameatus Solehah in Dengkil, Masjid Meranti in Pulau Meranti and Masjid As-Sobirin in Kuala Lumpur. Other mosques that have been benefitting from this program since 2021 are Masjid Cyber 10 and Masjid Raja Haji Fi Sabilillah.
Supported by contributions from Lembaga Zakat Selangor (MAIS) and from the public, this initiative serves as a beacon of hope for communities in need. #WeAreTheXPEARTS continue its aspirations to extend its reach beyond Selangor to encompass the entirety of Malaysia.
